Neil Schiff

I grew up in NY but now live in Lakewood with a wife and 7 kids (yes, you read right). Since starting my MSW program at LIU, I served as a psychotherapist/social worker at an assisted-living facility, two schools, 2 mental health clinics, led karate & acting groups as well as guitar lessons. With my LCSW, youthfulness, humor, vast human experience and psychological insight, I've been happily providing effective therapy and recreational activities, to help people-not just survive but-THRIVE.

I believe there's no "one size fits all" modality but rather "Where the client's at?". Sessions

are highly individualized. We talk, gather info, understand behaviors as well as learn more positive ways of thinking, if applicable. Depending on each client, I may be comically confrontational to get you moving towards your goals in mental health or social functioning. Many years exp. Helped hundreds of clients of all races, backgrounds, and nationalities.

Some clients are glad they have someone "normal" to talk to who understands and doesn't judge them. Other clients benefit from a major upgrade in self-awareness and self acceptance, while others choose to work on themselves more intensely and internalize better thoughts, reactions, moods, and feelings which will help them for life as a student, spouse, parent, employee or employer
