Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Ne-Juan Shaul, a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s in Counseling from Xavier University of Louisiana. When working with clients to find the best solutions to current conflicts, I prefer to explore culture, core beliefs, values, and motivation. I work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. My focus is to help clients understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors stem from culture, core beliefs, and values. The combination of these elements typically produces motivation. Currently, I am accepting new patients. I work with adults and teenagers struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, delusional disorder, and relationship conflicts. Individuals who work with me need to own their sessions, meaning they come prepared with something to discuss and a willingness to work.

My approach to therapy

I work from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused, Reality Therapy/Choice Theory, and Humanistic approaches.

What you can expect from me

I simplify everything, am down to earth, easy to talk to, and non-judgmental—qualities that people who work with me often notice. Sessions with me are usually very relaxed. However, I do not do the work for clients. I truly value people having power and control over their lives, and I believe each session must be approached that way. Individuals who work with me need to own their sessions, meaning they come prepared with something to discuss and a willingness to work.
