During our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building a foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship. I’ll take time to learn about your concerns, personal history, strengths, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current challenges, previous treatment experiences, and the goals you hope to achieve.
This initial meeting is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about my approach and what to expect throughout the counseling process. Together, we’ll identify your priorities and begin developing a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.
My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Whether you’re seeking support for substance use, co-occurring mental health concerns, stress, relationship challenges, or life transitions, you can expect to be treated with compassion, professionalism, and respect. By the end of our first session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of the next steps and how we’ll work together toward your recovery and personal growth.
