Great to meet you!
I'm Dr. Neo Papaneophytou, and I bring decades of experience in psychology — spanning teaching, research, and direct clinical work — to every session. I hold a doctorate in psychology and am licensed to practice in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Texas, offering therapy by phone, video, and secure online platforms.
My practice welcomes individuals, couples, and families working through a wide range of concerns: depression and anxiety, trauma and PTSD, relationship and family issues, life and career transitions, grief, personality-related challenges, and issues related to sexuality, including sexual addiction and paraphilia. I've spent many years working with LGBTQ+ clients and bring a strong appreciation for cultural and social diversity to my work with people from all backgrounds.
Depending on what you're working through, I draw on approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Transference-Focused Psychotherapy, and psychodynamic methods — always tailoring treatment to fit your specific goals. I also lead an ongoing dialectical behavioral therapy group.
Above all, I aim to create a respectful, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard. Whatever brought you here, you deserve support — and I'm glad to be part of your path forward.
