Great to meet you!

I’m Nexida Echeto, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. My approach focuses on treating the whole person by understanding not only symptoms, but also the experiences, stressors, strengths, and life circumstances that impact emotional well-being.

With experience in both psychiatric care and family medicine, I take an integrative and patient-centered approach to treatment that recognizes the strong connection between mental and physical health. I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, behavioral challenges, maternal mental health pre/postpartum and other complex mental health concerns.

I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients and families feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. I value building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and individualized care.

My treatment style combines evidence-based medication management with compassionate listening, education, and practical strategies that support long-term emotional wellness and resilience. I believe healing begins when individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward with confidence.

Through secure telehealth services across Florida, I aim to make quality mental health care more accessible and convenient for patients and families seeking support from the comfort of home.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe that effective mental health treatment begins with creating a safe and supportive environment where patients feel comfortable being heard without judgment. I take time to understand each person’s emotional, behavioral, medical, and life experiences in order to develop treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.

I use an evidence-based and holistic approach that combines psychiatric evaluation, medication management, education, and practical coping strategies to support overall emotional wellness. I value working closely with patients and families to encourage active participation in treatment decisions and long-term success.

My areas of focus include ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and trauma-related conditions in children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. I also believe in the importance of collaboration with therapists, schools, primary care providers, and family members when appropriate to help provide comprehensive and coordinated care.

Through telehealth services, I strive to make mental health care more accessible, convenient, and supportive for individuals and families throughout Florida.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment during their first session. My goal is to help patients and families feel comfortable, heard, and understood while we take time to explore their concerns, symptoms, emotional experiences, medical history, and personal goals for treatment.

During the initial appointment, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to better understand the challenges affecting daily functioning, emotional well-being, relationships, school, work, or overall quality of life. I also take time to discuss strengths, coping skills, and any previous treatment experiences in order to create a personalized and collaborative treatment plan.

Together, we will identify treatment goals that may include improving focus and attention, reducing anxiety or mood symptoms, strengthening emotional regulation, improving sleep, enhancing daily functioning, or building healthier coping strategies. When appropriate, we may also discuss medication options, therapy recommendations, lifestyle factors, and ongoing support needs.

I strive to create an experience where patients leave feeling supported, informed, and empowered with a clearer understanding of their mental health and the next steps in their care journey.
