Great to meet you!

My name is Neysa DeMann, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to providing therapy for teens, individual therapy, and couples counseling. I specialize in helping those who are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, and addiction recovery across all demographics. I offer my therapy services online in California and Colorado, and I also have an office in beautiful Basalt; it is a quiet, comfortable space ideal for in-person sessions.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is not about offering quick advice or generic coping strategies. It's about understanding you and your experiences, relationships, and the patterns that may be shaping your life in ways you don't always recognize.

My work is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, which means we explore how past experiences, family dynamics, and unconscious patterns influence the present. At the same time, I believe therapy should be practical. I draw from approaches such as DBT, CBT, and family systems when they are helpful, tailoring treatment to your unique needs rather than following a rigid method.

I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely understood, challenged when needed, and supported throughout the process. Some sessions focus on gaining insight into longstanding patterns, while others are devoted to navigating current challenges, strengthening relationships, or building skills to manage difficult emotions.

Whether you're seeking therapy as an individual, a couple, a teenager, or a family, my goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, and lasting emotional change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping will be different, and any questions or concerns you have about the process.

There's no pressure to tell your entire life story. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable while beginning to understand the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be contributing to your current challenges.

You'll also have the chance to get a sense of how I work and whether you feel comfortable with me. A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important predictors of successful therapy, so finding the right fit matters.

By the end of the session, we'll have a clearer understanding of your goals and discuss what working together might look like moving forward.
