Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than 20 years of experience in counseling, psychology, program leadership, and human services. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that people can create meaningful change when they have a safe space to understand themselves, work through challenges, and identify what they want for their lives.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, workplace and career challenges, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, and the emotional impact of major personal or professional changes. I also enjoy working with individuals who are navigating questions of purpose, belonging, and the expectations placed upon them by family, culture, work, or society.

My background includes a master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and I am currently completing my PhD in International Psychology with a specialization in Organizations and Systems. This background allows me to consider not only what an individual is experiencing internally, but also how relationships, family systems, workplaces, culture, and larger environments may be affecting their wellbeing.

In therapy, I strive to create a space where you can speak openly without feeling judged or pressured to fit into someone else's idea of who you should be. We will work together to understand what is happening, recognize patterns that may no longer serve you, build practical strategies for change, and identify the strengths you already bring to the process.

Therapy does not have to be about becoming a different person. Sometimes it is about understanding yourself more clearly, finding your footing during a difficult season, and learning how to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.

My approach to therapy

Listening is at the heart of my approach to therapy. I believe people need to feel genuinely heard and understood before meaningful therapeutic work can begin. I listen not simply to respond, but to understand your experiences, your perspective, and what matters most to you.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I do not believe therapy should be a one-size-fits-all process. Together, we explore what you are experiencing, identify patterns and concerns, and determine what you would like to change or better understand. I may offer insight, ask questions, challenge you when appropriate, and introduce practical strategies, but I also respect that you are the expert on your own life.

My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where you can speak honestly, feel respected, and know that someone is truly listening—not just to your words, but to the meaning behind them.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I will spend time listening to what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and what you hope may be different as a result of our work together.

You do not have to tell your entire story in the first session. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I may ask questions to better understand your experiences, relationships, current concerns, strengths, and goals, while also giving you space to ask questions about me and the therapy process.

Most importantly, the first session allows us to begin building trust and determine how I can best support you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can move forward together.
