Great to meet you!

I’m Niamalika Taylor, a Licensed Independent Social Worker inspired by helping individuals recognize the strength and possibilities within themselves. I understand and value how important it is for people to feel heard, seen, and understood as we navigate this journey called life. I believe you have the right to make choices that support your happiness, peace, and the life you desire.

I’m committed to helping you better understand your emotions, recognize your strengths, strengthen your voice, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and intention.

What inspires me most is helping individuals recognize that meaningful change can happen step by step, thought by thought, and choice by choice. I want therapy to be more than a place to talk. I want you to leave with tools you can carry throughout life as you continue to create and recreate what happiness, peace, and being able to say

“I am okay” mean to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy begins with you. I believe therapy should be as unique as the individual, so I take time to understand who you are, your experiences, your strengths, and what you want for your life. From there, I use therapeutic approaches and practical tools that best support your individual needs.

Our sessions are empowering, supportive, collaborative, and intentional. Each time we meet, my goal is for you to walk away feeling more empowered—with a greater understanding of yourself, your strengths, your voice, and the choices available to you.

Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and emotions and develop practical tools you can use to navigate everyday challenges and the choices life brings.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about you and only you. We’ll create a space where you are heard, seen, understood, and valued. I want to learn who you are, what matters to you, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from our time together.

We’ll identify your strengths and create goals that are meaningful to you. Throughout our sessions, we’ll practice the power of choice and develop practical skills you can apply to real-life situations. Practicing these skills together can help you become more confident using them to navigate everyday emotions, decisions, and challenges.

We start where you are, and we walk forward from there—together.
