Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist, earning my master's from St. Mary’s University and completing my Bachelor of Psychology at Regent University. I am working towards my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. I have many years of experience with the military culture and their families. I have also worked with children and child development in various capacities for over 15 years. Throughout the years, my specialties have gone in the direction of trauma, PTSD, and mood/behavioral issues.

My approach to therapy

I use a client-centered, solution-focused approach to assist with understanding the emotions and behaviors affecting your current situation. I believe that humor is a key component of healing. The therapy process can incorporate art, play, mindfulness, and many other holistic techniques to serve your needs better.

What you can expect from me

Every client is different and requires an environment that fits their needs best. The therapeutic process is geared towards feeling comfortable when facing difficult subjects. I ease my clients past their comfort zones and push when the time is right. It has to be a healthy balance of both. Therapy only works when you feel safe enough to trust the other person as you move along the growth journey. The goal for every client is to believe in themselves and their power to grow, heal, and learn.
