Great to meet you!

I’m a Doctor of Psychology with a background in clinical and forensic work, which basically means I’ve seen it all—and I’m still smiling. Whether you’re navigating the complexities of PTSD, bipolar disorder, or just a really stubborn case of anxiety, I’m here to help. As a U.S. Army Veteran, I have a particular soft spot (and a sturdy backbone) for first responders and fellow service members. I work with everyone from teenagers to older adults, and I’m a proud advocate (and member in good standing) for the LGBTQ+ community. My goal? To collaborate with you until you’re the best version of yourself—and hopefully, we’ll find a reason to laugh along the way.

My approach to therapy

I describe my style as 'eclectic,' which is therapist-speak for 'I have a very large toolbox and I’m not afraid to use it.' My primary go-tos are CBT (for those pesky thought loops), EMDR and Hypnotherapy (to get under the hood of trauma), and mindfulness (to keep us both grounded in the here and now). When it comes to couples, I’m a Gottman Method devotee with a side of Attachment Theory. Basically, I provide the roadmap and the safety gear; you just have to help me steer the car.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I basically get a professional license to be nosy. We’ll dive into a biopsychosocial assessment, which is just a fancy way of saying I’m going to learn your 'origin story' so we can figure out how you got here. Once we’ve swapped stories, we’ll build a custom battle plan (goals, strategies, and all the good stuff) to get you where you want to be. I’m a firm believer that if we haven’t shared a giggle, a guffaw, or at least a reluctant smirk by the end of the hour, I haven’t done my job. I’ll keep us on track with agendas and 'homework,' but don't worry—I’m always flexible enough to pivot when you just need a safe space to vent.
