Great to meet you!

Every person experiences seasons of life that can feel overwhelming. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, substance use, grief, or major life transitions, my goal is to provide a safe, collaborative, and evidence-based therapeutic experience where meaningful, lasting change can occur.

For nearly two decades, I have had the privilege of serving individuals, couples, and families throughout Nevada as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In addition to direct clinical practice, I have served as a Clinical Director, executive leader, clinical supervisor, consultant, educator, and program developer, helping develop innovative behavioral healthcare programs and clinical services across Nevada. These diverse experiences have allowed me to work with individuals from virtually every walk of life while treating a broad range of complex behavioral health concerns.

My approach is individualized, practical, and grounded in research-supported treatment. I integrate evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy to develop treatment plans tailored to each client's unique strengths, needs, and goals.

I believe people are far more than the challenges that bring them to therapy. My commitment is to provide compassionate, clinically excellent care while helping clients build resilience, strengthen relationships, overcome obstacles, and create healthier, more meaningful lives.

My approach to therapy

I believe effective therapy begins with understanding the unique person sitting across from me. No two individuals share the same story, which is why I don't believe in "one-size-fits-all" treatment. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each client's unique strengths, experiences, and goals.

I integrate research-supported treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, person-centered therapy, and other integrative modalities to help clients develop practical skills, increase self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change. While clinical expertise is essential, I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of successful outcomes. My goal is to create an environment where clients feel heard, respected, appropriately challenged, and empowered to grow.

Throughout my career, I have worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing a broad range of behavioral health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, relationship challenges, behavioral concerns, grief, life transitions, and complex clinical presentations. I also have extensive experience providing specialized assessment and treatment for problematic sexual behaviors, compulsive sexual behaviors, and pornography addiction.

Above all, I strive to help clients move beyond simply managing symptoms. Together, we work to understand the underlying patterns contributing to distress, build healthier ways of coping, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and it's natural to feel uncertain about what to expect. My goal is to create a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at a pace that feels right for you. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out before you walk through the door.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what has brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, review relevant aspects of your personal history, identify your strengths, and clarify the goals you hope to achieve. Just as importantly, we'll begin building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, collaboration, and open communication.

I believe therapy should be both compassionate and practical. Together, we'll develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, using evidence-based approaches that provide both insight and actionable strategies for meaningful change. Whether you're navigating a current crisis, working through long-standing challenges, or pursuing personal growth, my role is to provide clinical expertise, honest feedback, and compassionate support throughout the process.

My hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful—with greater clarity about where you are, confidence in where we're going, and the reassurance that you don't have to face life's challenges alone.
