Great to meet you!

My name is Nicholas Pullar, and I’m part of the team at ACTherapy Cleveland. Our practice specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with an emphasis on a mind-body approach to support meaningful and lasting growth.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over three years of experience providing counseling and supporting individuals through a variety of challenges. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ohio University and my master’s degree is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Akron.

My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you can feel understood, explore what matters most to you, and develop practical tools to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

I strive to create a calm, welcoming space where clients feel comfortable being open, heard, and understood. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is important to me, and I value working collaboratively with each client to identify their goals and develop practical skills that support meaningful change.

Using approaches grounded in acceptance and mindfulness, I help clients navigate life’s challenges with greater awareness, flexibility, and self-compassion. My goal is to empower clients to better understand themselves, build confidence in their ability to cope, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with what matters most.

What you can expect from me

As a client, you can expect a warm, open, and empathetic environment where you feel comfortable being yourself. In our initial sessions, we’ll take time to get to know one another, build a strong therapeutic relationship, and discuss what brings you to counseling.

We’ll also explore your goals and develop a clear understanding of how we’ll work together throughout the therapy process. My approach is collaborative, so you’ll have an active role in identifying what feels most important and meaningful to you as we move forward.
