Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a background in working with individuals, families, and individuals in psychiatric treatment settings, I bring a compassionate and practical approach to helping clients navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. My work incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) interventions to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, effective coping skills, and confidence in managing difficult situations.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to create a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where you can explore what is hold you back, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. I use CBT and DBT because I believe therapy should provide not only understanding, but also practical tools that can make everyday life feel more manageable. CBT can help you recognize the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and gently begin to shift patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, self-criticism, or feeling stuck. DBT offers skills to help you navigate intense emotions, manage stress, improve relationships, set healthy boundaries, and respond to difficult situations with greater confidence and control. Together, these approaches allow us to focus on your individual needs while building skills that you can carry with you beyond our sessions and into your daily life.

What you can expect from me

Your initial therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, understand what brings you to therapy, and begin creating a plan that feels right for you. During this first session, I will complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, which helps me understand your personal history, relationships, family and social supports, mental health experiences, strengths, and other factors that may be impacting your overall well-being. We will also spend time talking about what brings you into therapy including symptoms, concerns, or challenges you are currently experiencing and how they may be affecting your daily life. Together, we will identify meaningful treatment goals based on what you would like to work on and the areas where you would like to see change, while incorporating my clinical recommendations and expertise.
