Great to meet you!

I'm Nichomi Higgins, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 13 years of clinical experience. My work sits at the intersection of the psychological and the existential — meaning I hold both the clinical concerns (anxiety, depression, burnout) and the deeper questions about identity, purpose, and what a season of life is asking of you.

I work primarily with women leaders, executives, therapists, coaches, and high-functioning professionals who are navigating transitions that their usual tools aren't touching. I'm a three-time author and TEDx speaker, and my approach is integrative, decolonized, and shaped around you — not a fixed model.

My approach to therapy

My approach draws from trauma informed principles, narrative, existential, somatic, and ACT frameworks. I view every client within the context of the systems they exist in — cultural, relational, institutional — and I work from there.

The work is integrative by design. I don't apply a single model to everyone. What I bring is a clinical container that can hold complexity without rushing toward resolution.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an orientation — for both of us. I want to understand what's bringing you here, what you've already tried, and what this season is actually asking of you beneath the presenting concern. There's no intake checklist energy. It's a real conversation, and it moves at your pace. I am a therapist that holds my clients accountable for the outcomes they desire. We don't just talk about the issues, I challenge you to implement behavioral changes that support the healing you seek.
