Great to meet you!

I support adolescents (12+), adults, and parents through a wide range of challenges including life transitions, relationship struggles, grief, stress, and the evolving pressures of today’s world.

Many teens find me approachable and trustworthy, and I’m passionate about helping them navigate the complexities of growing up in a fast-changing environment. I also work with clients facing midlife-career changes, substance use—personally or in families—and those overwhelmed by economic uncertainty or political shifts.

I have a special interest in supporting clients in their relationship with religion and spirituality—whether faith is a grounding force or a source of pain. This includes those wrestling with religious-based trauma, especially around gender or sexual identity. I provide a nonjudgmental, compassionate space to explore and heal.

My approach is rooted in the belief that we’re our best selves when we live in alignment with our values. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you, uncover your strengths, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Therapy offers clarity, empowerment, and hope—and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. I draw from approaches including narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and values-based work to help clients better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that keep them feeling stuck.

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with purpose, not an interrogation or a lecture. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, emotions, relationships, and personal story while also focusing on concrete ways to create change in everyday life. I often help clients identify the values that matter most to them and work toward building a life that feels more aligned, steady, and authentic.

I work especially well with clients navigating anxiety, identity questions, life transitions, relationship difficulties, religious trauma, faith deconstruction, substance use concerns, and the challenges that come with neurodivergence, stress, or feeling disconnected from themselves. My style is warm, direct, thoughtful, and grounded in real-world perspective. Humor also has a place in therapy when it’s helpful.

I strive to create a space where clients can be fully honest about difficult thoughts, complicated emotions, and parts of themselves they may not feel safe expressing elsewhere.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about the challenges you’re facing, what you hope will improve, and any important experiences or patterns that may be contributing to what you’re going through.

There’s no expectation that you need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. Many clients come in feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or even nervous about starting therapy, and that’s completely okay. My goal is to create an environment that feels comfortable, respectful, and nonjudgmental.

We’ll also discuss what therapy with me typically looks like, identify initial goals, and start exploring what support would be most helpful for you. Some clients leave the first session feeling relieved to finally talk openly. Others leave with greater clarity, direction, or simply the sense that they don’t have to carry everything alone anymore.

Most importantly, the first session is about determining whether the relationship feels like a good fit.

Effective therapy is built on trust, collaboration, and feeling understood.
