Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Nico. I'm a licensed therapist based in Gainesville, FL, and I especially love working with older teens and adults, queer folks, and people navigating identity. My approach is warm, direct, and affirming, I want you to feel fully seen, not just accommodated. If that sounds like the kind of space you're looking for, I'd love to work with you.

My approach to therapy

I hold a Master's in Counseling from Saint Joseph University and bring an identity-affirming, culturally responsive lens to every session. I draw from Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Humanistic approaches to help you understand the different parts of yourself, especially the ones shaped by family, culture, or community expectations, and to write a story about who you are that actually fits. For clients working through trauma, I also use EMDR. Whatever you're carrying, we'll go at a pace that feels safe for you, never one that feels like another place demanding you perform okay-ness.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll spend time simply getting to know each other, no rush, no pressure to have it all figured out. I'll ask about what's brought you to therapy now, what identities and communities matter to you, and what support has or hasn't worked before. By the end, you should feel like you've been heard, not just intaked.
