Great to meet you!

Sometimes you may feel like you are doing your best to manage everything, but anxiety, frustration, or the demands of everyday life can leave you feeling overwhelmed or unsure of what to do next. Anxiety may keep you caught in worry, depression can make it difficult to feel motivated or connected, and ADHD can create challenges with focus, organization, or managing daily responsibilities. I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, anger management, and relationship issues. These concerns can also overlap with family challenges, stress, women's issues, identity concerns, or trauma, especially when difficulties in one area of your life begin affecting another. With more than 11 years of experience, I understand that everyone's circumstances and needs are different. Therapy can offer a place to feel heard, better understand what you are experiencing, and begin making changes that help you feel more confident, connected, and in control of your life.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both the person you are today and the experiences, relationships, responsibilities, and challenges that have shaped how you navigate everyday life. We'll explore how anxiety, ADHD, depression, anger, and relationship issues may be affecting your emotional wellbeing, daily responsibilities, and connections with others. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in thoughts and behaviors that contribute to distress and develop healthier ways of responding, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you navigate difficult emotions while staying connected to your values, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy to help you identify and challenge beliefs that may be contributing to frustration, anxiety, or emotional distress. Dialectical Behavior Therapy can help you develop skills for managing intense emotions, tolerating difficult situations, and communicating more effectively, while Motivational Interviewing can help you explore change without pressure and strengthen your confidence in taking steps forward. Behavioral Modification can help you develop practical strategies for changing habits and building routines that better support your goals, while Humanistic approaches can provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore your experiences and develop a stronger sense of self-understanding. Our sessions will be collaborative, compassionate, and individualized, balancing practical tools with space to better understand yourself and what matters most to you.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to come to therapy knowing exactly what to say or having everything figured out. During our first few sessions, we will take time to understand what brought you here, what has been most challenging, and what you hope will feel different in your life. Together, we will identify goals that feel realistic and meaningful while creating a plan that reflects your individual needs and circumstances. You can expect me to bring warmth, empathy, and an open mind to our work while creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can speak honestly and feel understood. Progress may look like feeling less overwhelmed by anxiety, developing strategies to manage ADHD, reconnecting with yourself when depression feels heavy, responding to anger in healthier ways, or improving communication and connection in your relationships. We will continue checking in on what is helping and adjust our work as your needs evolve. When you are ready, you can schedule your first session with me through Headway.
