Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Dr. Nicole Alexander. I’m a clinical psychologist specializing in supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and health-related challenges. Whether it's a child learning to manage big emotions, a teen navigating social or academic stress, or an adult facing the complexities of life, I consider it a true privilege to walk alongside individuals and families during times of growth and change. My goal is to provide practical, compassionate support that meets you where you are.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in a behavioral framework that considers the many environmental and internal factors influencing how we think, feel, and act. I take a collaborative, realistic, and flexible approach that’s tailored to each individual or family. For children and teens, I emphasize parent involvement and skills-based learning, offering strategies that can be practiced between sessions and adjusted over time. I also integrate a mind-body perspective into my work, helping clients recognize how emotional and physical health are closely connected. When appropriate, I coordinate care with other providers like pediatricians, speech and language pathologists, and psychiatrists to ensure cohesive, supportive treatment.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on understanding your concerns and goals. If I’m meeting with a child or adolescent, I often start by speaking with caregivers to gather background information and discuss observations and priorities. From there, I’ll begin developing a plan tailored to your or your child’s unique needs. You can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment where your questions are welcome, and where we’ll work together to create a path forward that feels both doable and meaningful.
