Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Nicole Barrett, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida. I provide therapy for adults, teens, parents, and neurodivergent individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Rutgers University and utilize a holistic and integrative approach to therapy. My training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches, and expressive arts interventions. When aligned with a client’s preferences and values, I can also incorporate spirituality and faith-based perspectives into my work with clients.

My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I help clients explore the underlying experiences, patterns, and beliefs that may be contributing to their current struggles.

My approach integrates evidence-based therapies such as EMDR, ACT, CBT, and IFS with somatic and mindfulness-based practices to support healing on both emotional and nervous system levels. Together, we work to increase self-awareness, build coping skills, strengthen self-compassion, process difficult experiences, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with your values.

I strive to meet clients where they are while providing both support and gentle challenges that encourage growth, resilience, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant life experiences, and what you hope to gain from the counseling process.

My priority is creating a comfortable and welcoming environment where you can share at your own pace without feeling pressured or judged. Together, we will identify goals for therapy and begin developing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you.

Many clients leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the direction of their healing journey. My goal is for you to walk away with a clearer understanding of your challenges, your strengths, and the next steps toward the life you want to create.
