Great to meet you!

I'm a mental health therapist licensed in Florida and Delaware with over 15 years of experience working in social services, including vocational rehab, case management and mental health therapy. I have worked with a variety of clients reporting different concerns such as depression, anxiety, mood instability, and parenting difficulties, but I specialize in ADHD, autism and trauma. My internship was specified within helping children, teens, and adults heal from trauma/PTSD. I have a Masters in Counseling with ABA, as well as a Master's certificate in Play Therapy. I am all but dissertation in a Developmental Psychology PhD.

Many therapists don't have training or experience in helping neurodiverse clients in the therapeutic process. Whether working on emotional dysfunction, time and organization skills, behavior or academic difficulties, throughout the therapy process I help clients to understand their symptoms and implement different techniques to improve mood and achieve goals.

Many parents need assistance in learning how to be more mindful of their child's symptoms and helping them learn to be successful in academic and social endeavors. I have training and experience in behavior modification and also work with children to learn about themselves and have more understanding for their neurodiverse super powers.

It is never too late to get help for past trauma. I help clients understand and heal from their depression and anxiety symptoms linked to PTSD and help them to make changes to be more positive and healthy in their daily lives. I am trained and experienced with both child and adult PTSD treatment modalities.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach combines cognitive-behavioral and person centered therapies, but find I am eclectic, pulling from a variety of techniques based on the goals of my Clients. I am trained in a variety of evidence based practices and treatment models, including evidence-based trauma treatment modalities, Trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive processing therapy (CPT). Both treatment modalities focus on understanding the connection between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors and processing negative events through talk and structured sessions. It's never too late to heal, even if it's been years.

What you can expect from me

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the steps towards change and growth. My objective within the therapy process is to help you identify and work toward your goals, as well as find long term solutions toward healing. We will create a treatment plan together, focusing on a Client centered approach, allowing the Client to direct treatment and explore and resolve difficulties in a safe space. I look forward to working with you!
