Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Nicole Croslin, LCSW. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 39 years of experience as a therapist. I was raised in New York City, and I am passionate about giving back to the community that shaped me.

I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard, understood, and respected. I work with individuals, children, and couples experiencing concerns such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, relationship and communication challenges, and everyday life stressors.

My approach is collaborative and solution-focused. Together, we will identify the challenges you are facing, explore practical solutions, and develop strategies that can help you move forward. I incorporate cognitive and supportive therapy, empathy, problem-solving, role-play, journaling, and relaxation techniques when appropriate.

Clients have described me as open, honest, and nonjudgmental. My goal is to help you untangle confusing or overwhelming situations, understand your options, and feel empowered to make choices that support a healthier and more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and solution-focused. I believe therapy should provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can openly discuss your concerns and feel heard and understood.

I work with clients to identify the challenges they are experiencing, better understand the factors contributing to those challenges, and develop practical strategies for creating meaningful change. I incorporate cognitive and supportive therapy, problem-solving, empathy, role-play, journaling, and relaxation techniques based on each client’s individual needs.

My goal is to help you untangle issues that may feel confusing or overwhelming, explore possible solutions, and develop the confidence and skills to make choices that support your emotional well-being and overall quality of life.

What you can expect from me

Clients will first participate in an introductory consultation with our administrative staff to review the practice, answer general questions, discuss the next steps, and make sure they understand the process before beginning therapy.

During the first therapy session, I will focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and learning about your concerns, goals, and experiences. This is an opportunity for you to share what you feel comfortable discussing while we begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Together, we will identify areas you would like to address and begin developing goals that are meaningful to you. I will provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment and work collaboratively with you to determine approaches and strategies that best fit your individual needs. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work ahead.
