Great to meet you!

Out of office: I will be away through August 2 and will return on August 3. Messages will be reviewed sporadically, and a timely response cannot be guaranteed. For an emergency or thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

As a board-certified psychiatrist in both general and forensic psychiatry, I bring 14 years of experience treating adults with a wide range of mental health concerns. My style is warm, direct, and down-to-earth, and I believe that good psychiatric care starts with feeling genuinely heard and understood. I value honesty, collaboration, and building real connection with the people I work with.

Whether you’ve been struggling quietly for years or something in your life has recently started to feel unmanageable, my goal is to help you feel supported while we find an approach that fits you.

My approach to therapy

My first priority is to understand the full picture: your history, your symptoms, what brought you here, and what you want your life to look like. I take time to know you as a person rather than a diagnosis, because an accurate diagnosis and an effective treatment plan depend on it. From there I draw on every tool available to me, whether that’s medication, therapy, or both, to build a plan that genuinely fits you. I keep the process transparent and collaborative so you always understand the reasoning behind our decisions and feel like an active partner in your care.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to be heard and truly listened to from our very first session. I want you to leave each session feeling aligned with the plan we’ve made, not because I handed it to you, but because we shaped it together and it makes sense for your life. I’ll be honest and straightforward with you, and I’ll ask you to bring that same commitment. The best outcomes tend to happen when patients stay engaged, honest, and actively involved in their treatment. My job is to guide and support you, and together we make it work.

If you do not see a time that works for you on my schedule, please feel free to email me, as I may have additional availability.

Note: Because appointments are conducted virtually, there are some limitations regarding the prescribing of certain medications. Under current New Jersey and federal regulations, Schedule II controlled substances - including stimulant medications used to treat ADHD - generally require at least one in-person evaluation before they can be prescribed. If treatment with one of these medications becomes clinically appropriate, we will discuss the necessary steps and available options together.
