Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University. I have been a psychologist since 2016 and licensed since 2017. With a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I have extensive experience working with diverse populations. I have a depth of experience working with women, as well as Veterans and military culture.

I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, and sleep related concerns. I am particularly skilled in trauma-informed care, including Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure. I am well versed in Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia. In addition, I can provide a range of treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is empowering, warm, and solution focused. I meet each client where they are at and help them collaboratively develop recovery-oriented treatment goals. I am more direct in my style, while also providing emotional support, validation, and encouragement. My role as the therapist is to assist the patient in learning and practicing skills that help the client make progress towards goals. My hope is that, by the end of therapy, you have "become your own therapist". Warmth and the use of humor are characteristics of my style.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to take away the following:

  • An increased understanding of themselves and others;
  • Knowledge about their symptoms and tools to effectively cope with symptoms in daily life;
  • New ways of relating effectively with their own thoughts and feelings;
  • Ideas for ways to reduce symptoms and/or live a more meaningful life; and
  • Increased self-confidence in themselves and their potential for change and growth.
