Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Dr. Nicole Farmer. I focus on helping individuals manage stress, depression, and anxiety that often come with life transitions. I'm a fellowship trained psychologist, which means I had 7 years of supervised graduate level education, and have another 5+ years of clinical experience on top of that. My background with a variety of groups, including optimal performers, has shown me we all have phases of life in which our normal routine or coping just doesn't work.

My approach to therapy

While largely rooted in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), I utilize a common factors approach focusing on the therapeutic relationship, client expectations, and a healing environment all surrounding an evidence based treatment that fits. A common factors approach allows me flexibility to blend my expertise with a treatment that makes sense to you.

What you can expect from me

Life is full of changes - some sought after, some not. If you're feeling stuck or unsure about your path, you are not alone. I can help by providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can process your experiences and values, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. I applaud your bravery in choosing this change of revitalization! In my private practice, I work with adults (18+) who are navigating major life transitions. My clients often seek support during times of change that bring stress, emotional distress, and identity shifts.

While I welcome individuals facing a wide range of life concerns, my practice is not suited for those with suicidal behaviors, untreated or extensive substance use issues, disordered eating as a primary concern, SPMI or those seeking couples or family therapy.
