Great to meet you!

I'm so grateful you're here; it takes a lot of courage to start this journey. I'm Nicole. I have been a therapist for over 19 years. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin, and I earned my Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I began my career as a social worker, and found my home as a therapist, and have never looked back!

I offer a blend of cognitive-behavioral and contemplative approaches to the counseling relationship. I am EMDR trained, and Certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and certified in mindfulness and meditation in the clinical practice. So, we have options, friends!

My approach to therapy

Starting therapy takes courage. I tend to think of the therapy journey as a partnership--you knowing yourself and your experiences, and me knowing mental health and counseling. I view our partnership as a wellness journey where I am your sherpa, or copilot, helping you with the challenges you are experiencing. I work with individuals with a variety of experiences, and a wide age range. I try to meet wherever you are at in your life's journey.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we are both really just feeling each other out--is this a fit for you? Can I offer you what you need for your treatment? We will get to know each other, and begin to unpack your story--and you get to decide if this feels safe and right for you to share all that you need to make your therapy practice meaningful.
