Great to meet you!

Hi there! I’m Nicole, a Licensed Professional Counselor working with children, teens, and young adults. I’m a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina and offer therapy across the state of South Carolina through virtual sessions, as well as in-person in Lexington, SC. I believe that every mind deserves to bloom, and I strive to create a space where each person feels understood, supported, and empowered in their healing journey.

My approach to therapy

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified Play Therapist with experience in both school settings and private practice, I take a person-centered and child-centered approach. This means we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, focusing on what feels most meaningful in your life or your child’s life.

I also work through a trauma-informed lens, honoring the ways each individual’s story is shaped by their experiences. In our work together, I prioritize safety, trust, empowerment, and choice so that you—or your child—can show up just as you are. In addition, my holistic approach considers the whole person, including the emotional, social, physical, and environmental factors that may be influencing overall well-being.

My hope is to create a compassionate space where growth feels possible and where each person can move toward greater balance, connection, and resilience.

What you can expect from me

Whether you’re bringing your child, your teen, or coming in as a young adult, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, seen, and supported from the very beginning.

During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another, exploring what brings you in, and identifying the hopes or goals you have for therapy. For younger children, I often introduce the playroom to help them express themselves naturally and comfortably through play. For teens and young adults, this time becomes an open, collaborative conversation where they can share their experiences at their own pace in a judgment-free environment.

Above all, the first session is about building trust and beginning a supportive partnership.
