Great to meet you!

My name is Nicole, and I have been in private practice since 2016. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from LSU in 2004 and my graduate degree in Counseling from UTSA in 2012. My primary specialization is working with clients who have experienced trauma, and I also treat depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, relationship recovery, and autism in adults. I work extensively with the LGBTQIA+ community and provide affirming, respectful care. Many of the clients I support are carrying painful experiences, emotional overwhelm, relationship wounds, or patterns that make it hard to feel safe, connected, or fully themselves. My goal is to provide a steady, trauma-informed space where you can feel understood, supported, and empowered to move toward healing and wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach is open-minded, affirming, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I see therapy as a space where we work together to better understand your experiences, identify what may be getting in the way of your well-being, and build a path toward the goals that matter to you. In session, we may explore trauma responses, anxiety, depression, mood changes, PTSD symptoms, relationship patterns, identity concerns, emotional regulation, and barriers to feeling grounded or connected. I work as a guide, offering support, perspective, and practical tools while respecting your pace and lived experience. My virtual office is a safe, judgment-free space where we can focus on improving your overall sense of stability, self-understanding, and emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an initial assessment that helps me gain a broad picture of your life, your background, and what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, your goals, your history, and any challenges you are hoping to better understand or overcome. Whether you are seeking support for trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, relationship recovery, LGBTQIA+ concerns, autism in adulthood, or emotional overwhelm, I will work to understand your needs in a thoughtful and respectful way. A quality intake allows us to guide treatment with intention, identify barriers to wellness, and begin creating a plan that supports your healing and long-term growth.
