Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you’ve been trying to manage things on your own for a long time. I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 20 years of experience supporting children, individuals, couples, and families through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional struggles. My background as an educator and school social worker has given me a unique understanding of how people develop, adapt, and navigate challenges at different stages of life. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership built on trust, compassion, and collaboration. I primarily use a client-centered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while building practical tools for managing challenges. I also incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when working with couples to strengthen communication, emotional connection, and understanding. My approach is grounded in the belief that people can grow, develop new patterns, and build resilience with the right support and guidance.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to slow down, get to know each other, and talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. We’ll explore your experiences, strengths, and challenges while beginning to identify goals that feel meaningful and manageable. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable being yourself and supported as you take steps toward greater confidence, connection, and well-being.
