Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree earned in 2004 and over 20 years of experience supporting children, individuals, couples, and families. I bring a warm, supportive, and collaborative approach, creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and truly understood. My background includes school-based counseling, 20 years as an elementary teacher, and my current role as an elementary school social worker, where I support students and families navigating ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and emotional challenges. I primarily use a client-centered CBT approach to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while developing practical tools for change. I also believe in neuroplasticity and the idea that with awareness and support, people can build new patterns that lead to healthier responses, greater resilience, and a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and collaborative, with a focus on helping clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop insight and practical coping tools, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support couples in strengthening communication and emotional connection. I believe therapy is a partnership and feel honored to support clients as they heal and grow.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive and friendly environment where they feel comfortable sharing at their own pace. During the first session, we will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, and exploring your goals and hopes for the process. I also gather background information to better understand your experiences, strengths, and challenges. Together, we will begin identifying meaningful goals and creating a path forward that feels supportive and manageable.
