Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. If you've been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, carrying the weight of grief, struggling with the effects of trauma, or finding it difficult to navigate relationships or life's daily stressors, you don't have to face it alone. I'm Nicole Lea, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I work with adults who are ready to heal, grow, and move toward a more peaceful and fulfilling life. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and accepted from the very first conversation.

Although I'm early in my career as an independently licensed therapist, I bring a fresh perspective, evidence based training, and a deep passion for helping others heal. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia and specialize in supporting adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, PTSD, grief, depression, women's issues, relationship challenges, and stress. I believe every person has strengths that can become the foundation for meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a partnership where you never have to carry everything on your own. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized to fit your unique experiences and goals. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Strength Based Therapy to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns while building practical skills you can use in everyday life. Together, we'll explore what's been keeping you stuck, celebrate the strengths you already have, and develop new ways to cope, heal, and move forward. I strive to create a supportive environment where you feel safe asking difficult questions, processing painful experiences, and making meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've never talked with someone about what you're carrying. My goal is to make our first session feel like a genuine conversation where you can simply show up as yourself without fear of judgment. We'll spend time getting to know one another, talking about what's bringing you to therapy, and identifying the goals that matter most to you. You can expect to feel heard, respected, and supported as we begin building trust together. Healing doesn't happen overnight, but you don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. If you're ready to take that first step, I'd be honored to walk alongside you and help you create a life that feels more balanced, hopeful, and authentic.
