Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated mental health professional who supports children and adults through life’s challenges. I currently provide individual therapy only and do not offer couples counseling. My background in behavioral health and social services, along with hands-on community experience, has shaped my practical, compassionate, and solution-focused approach.

I have worked with individuals involved in the justice system, people living with serious mental illness, children in foster care, and families navigating behavioral or developmental concerns. My experience includes case management, crisis support, employment readiness, behavioral coaching, and coordinating care with medical providers, mental health facilities, and community programs to ensure consistent, long-term support.

I help clients facing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, behavioral challenges in children and teens, parenting and co-parenting concerns, and reintegration after legal involvement. My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I believe everyone has resilience and the ability to grow with the right support.

My style is warm, honest, and structured. I value accountability while always leading with empathy and respect. I focus on building coping skills, improving communication, setting clear goals, and developing practical strategies that support emotional balance and independence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I believe that each individual brings unique experiences, resilience, and capacity for growth. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful change.

I utilize a combination of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and psychoeducation. I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills to manage stress, regulate emotions, and improve communication. For clients navigating trauma or high-stress environments, I emphasize emotional safety, stabilization, and gradual skill-building.

I also take a collaborative approach. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I work closely with clients to set realistic goals and track progress. When appropriate, I coordinate with families, caregivers, medical providers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support.

My style is warm but direct. I value accountability and growth while recognizing that change takes time. I aim to balance empathy with structure so clients leave sessions with clarity, practical tools, and a sense of direction.

Ultimately, my goal is to help clients increase insight, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and independence.
