Great to meet you!

My name is Nicole Lucente and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I believe that counseling offers a unique opportunity for self-exploration, healing, and growth that can lead to improved well-being and a higher quality of life. I have many years of experience in a variety of settings (outpatient, college, and inpatient) working with adults and teens to address a number of concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, life transitions, family conflict, emotion regulation, stress management, coping skills, work related stressors and burnout, neurodiversity, addiction, parenting, grief, and more. I am passionate about helping others and am honored to witness my clients overcome hurdles and move toward the best version of themselves.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered and trauma-informed. I use a variety of evidence-based models such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I am warm and energetic and work to create a space of healing, growth, and acceptance. When needed, I can be direct. I use humor and creativity in the counseling process and provide individualized care. I have a passion for helping my clients resolve unwanted symptoms and work through challenges.

What you can expect from me

Whether you have been struggling with challenges and symptoms for a long time or find yourself facing a new challenge or life transition, I am here to provide support. In our first session I will seek to gain a thorough understanding of your unique needs, we will identify your goals for counseling and establish a plan to achieve them. I look forward to meeting you!
