Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to change, and what has or hasn’t worked explaining things in the past—at your pace, without pressure.
I create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can be honest and feel heard. Together, we’ll begin identifying initial goals or areas of focus, whether that’s managing emotions, reducing stress, improving relationships, or building healthier coping skills. You don’t need to have everything figured out—clarity often comes through the process.
By the end of the session, most clients leave with a clearer sense of direction, a better understanding of how therapy can help, and often a practical takeaway or next step to support you between sessions.
