Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Nicole! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 13 years of experience helping teens and young adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life's emotional challenges. I understand that being a teenager or young adult isn't always easy. Between school, relationships, family expectations, and figuring out who you are, life can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, difficult emotions, past experiences, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to listen, understand, and support you as you find your way forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe understanding yourself is an important part of creating meaningful change. My approach focuses on helping you recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and past experiences influence the way you see yourself and respond to the world around you.

Together, we'll explore patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, overwhelming emotions, relationship difficulties, or feelings of being stuck. We'll also work on building self-confidence, developing healthier coping skills, and finding ways to manage life's challenges.

I incorporate evidence-based approaches, including DBT, EMDR, and trauma-focused CBT, while tailoring our work to your individual needs. Some sessions may focus on practical tools you can use right away, while others may involve working through deeper experiences.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel a little intimidating, especially if it's your first time or you're unsure what to expect. My goal during our first session is to help you feel comfortable, get to know you, and begin building a connection.

We'll talk about what's been going on in your life, what brought you to therapy, and what you'd like to work on. I may ask about your family, relationships, school, work, and past experiences to better understand what you're going through.

There's no pressure to share everything right away or have all the answers. We'll take things one step at a time and work together to identify goals that feel meaningful to you.

Most importantly, I want you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about moving forward.
