Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I’m down-to-earth, non-judgmental, and a genuine person. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be real—no masks, no pressure, no shame. I bring warmth and care into the room, along with a sense of humor when it’s helpful, because healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy to be meaningful.

I’m also solution-focused and collaborative. That means we’ll spend time understanding what’s going on, but we won’t get stuck there. We’ll work together to identify practical tools, coping strategies, and small, realistic steps that can help you feel better in your day-to-day life. Above all, I care deeply about meeting you where you are and supporting you in a way that feels respectful, empowering, and aligned with your goals. If you do not see your insurance provider listed and you are interested in private pay, please email me at [email protected] or find me on Psychology today under Nicole McCray and send me a message.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it’s practical, collaborative, and grounded in genuine connection. My approach is resolution-focused and strengths-based,meaning we spend less time circling the problem and more time identifying what actually helps you move forward. I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can think clearly and feel safe

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to feel warm, nurturing, and completely judgment-free. This is a space where you don’t have to have the “right words” or a clear plan just a willingness to show up as you are. We’ll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you’re hoping might change. I’ll listen carefully, ask gentle questions, and help you begin to make sense of your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to; building safety and trust comes first. By the end of the session, most clients leave feeling heard, supported, and a little less alone, with a clearer sense of how therapy can help and what our work together might look like going forward.
