Great to meet you!

I’m Nicole Perkins, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and published mental health author with over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. My clinical work focuses on anxiety, depression, ADHD, borderline personality disorder (BPD), relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, and significant life transitions.

I take a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing that our emotional well-being is shaped by our experiences, relationships, identities, and environments. My therapeutic style is warm, affirming, and solution-oriented. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding yourself, recognizing patterns, and developing the tools to move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, affirming, and solution-oriented. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported while also being encouraged to grow. I bring a holistic perspective to our work, recognizing that emotional well-being is influenced by our experiences, relationships, identities, and environments.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant personal history, and what you hope to accomplish through our work together.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, identify areas where you may need additional support, and begin exploring goals that are meaningful to you. There’s no expectation that you share everything at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable while establishing a clear direction for treatment.

My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, respected, and more confident about the work we’ll do together.
