Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Nicole!

I believe that more often than not, clients find the therapist they were supposed to... so if you’re here on my page, please read on to see if you think I’d be a good fit for you!

My approach to therapy is finding ways to connect with clients. There is never a lack of ways to make meaningful connections with clients or find some common ground.

My focus

I have run Anxiety and Mindfulness groups and am trained in trauma work. The clients I enjoy working with most are people who are motivated and invested in the therapy process. I work with children, teens, and adults, tailoring sessions to each client's needs.

My approach

My approach to therapy is working collaboratively with clients to make sure they get what they need out of therapy sessions. Some people actively want to make changes or learn interventions (i.e., relaxation tools to cope with anxiety), while others need a safe space held for them without judgment and with kindness.

My communication style

I really prefer to match my clients. For clients who are looking for a more relaxed atmosphere where they can speak freely, joke a bit, and maybe even curse, that does not bother me (as long as they're not cursing at me!) For clients who are looking for a more professional environment in which to learn new interventions or how to cope with things.

My journey to mental healthcare

Even as a child, I was always the one friends would come to seeking comfort or advice. I actually was in graduate school to become a school counselor, but life had other plans, which took me in a different direction. As an auditory learner, I tend to remember details of stories people have told me quite easily.

If you choose me I’ll send you an email with how I work so we can make sure it’s a good fit!

My approach to therapy

In my down time, I’m a songwriter, and play piano and guitar. I like to meditate and do gentle yoga. These are some tools that at times come up in session. I have a lot of interests so I tend to connect to clients easily. Im a huge soccer fan so have really been enjoying this World Cup.

What you can expect from me

I like to understand why clients are coming to therapy. Why are they taking time out of their busy lives to do this? So I want to make sure it’s a good experience and hopefully I can help and guide them closer to their goals or what they want to get out of their sessions.
