Great to meet you!

I have been in practice for over 22 years. I enjoy what I do. I epecially enjoy helping people to feel good about themselves and their lives. I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work. I have worked most of my career in Employee Assistance. This has given me experience with an array of issues. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Techniques in my practice. All of my experience is with individual adults.

My approach to therapy

I strive to make all my clients feel comfortable in their healing journey. It is Very important to me that none of my clients feel judged or shame. My stance is one of curiosity and a true interest in getting to know my clients. I focus on strengths and using these strengths to help my clients obtain what THEY want.

What you can expect from me

The first session is probably the most difficult. I am inquisitive; but allow clients to take the lead in what they need to focus on and what they wish to share. I try my best to make the assessment portion of the first session more like a conversation and not an interview. Also on the first session I will work collaboratively to establish a goal. This helps the sessions to be productive and sets the stage for sucess.
