Great to meet you!

I'm very passionate about working with those who have been blindsided by grief, trauma, and relationship issues. I believe psychological pain dwells within the brain, nervous system, and the body so elements of effective treatment must include all of them as well.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I don't think any single approach to therapy will be enough so I use my understanding of several types of approaches to aid in collaborating with clients to best address their concerns and aspirations. My approach with clients is equal parts compassion, empathy, and confidence. Compassion for the emotional pain endured; empathy for the difficult circumstances faced amid life's disorienting seachanges; confidence in clients' ability to refocus, regroup, and fight to live their best lives.

What you can expect from our first session

Meaningful emotional healing occurs from the inside out. So our work together will include identifying emotional wounds as well as personal strengths and developing workable strategies for coping with internal turbulence as well as external circumstances in practical ways that accurately reflect your values and goals. This process is not comfortable or easy so expect to be challenged in therapeutic empathetic ways
