Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Nicole Rodriguez LMFT in California. I'm a latinx clinician with a late diagnosis of ADHD. Because of my background, I find it highly rewarding to work with other adults that have either recently been diagnosed or have recently started to pursue support for their ADHD. I also have a deep understanding around the cultural context that comes with seeking mental health support.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style tends to match my client's needs. This looks like taking my client's personal goals and background history into account when speaking with them and selecting tools to use in session. Our conversations will adapt to your needs: empathy and support if you need a safe space to process thoughts, feelings, and/or events. Accountability and direction, if you're a focused do-er ready for change. Even if you don't know what you would like from therapy yet, we can work together to make this a painless and impactful experience.

What you can expect from me

Our first few sessions will mostly consist of getting background history on either your life as a whole or the specific issue you would like to work with through our work. These sessions are also were I breakdown myths and misunderstandings about therapy. My goal for our first few sessions is to show you that I'm a real human being, that understands your experience, and doesn't judge.
