Great to meet you!

**Please note children and adolescents will only be seen in person (no virtual appointments)**

I am genuine. I understand everyone is unique, as is their experiences, and I meet each client where they are at. I will challenge a client to set SMART goals, and we will work together to achieve those goals. I do assign in between work, and the client should be willing to complete and/or attempt the work as this is one way change occurs. I genuinely care about a clients success and healing, and always have their best interests at heart, but I do establish healthy boundaries and expect the client to adhere to those established. I have a flexible schedule, but am more accessible in the winter months, my schedule will change so clients need to be flexible as well. I will offer both in person and virtual care. I do not provide any type of couples, marriage, or family counseling, and our sessions are always 1 on 1, unless there is a need for a caregiver, or parent, to be present to provide collateral information. I also prefer to have a consultation call with perspective clients before scheduling so that we can assure I am the type of provider that will best suit your needs. So give me a call and let's chat about what you are looking for in a provider.

My approach to therapy

I am person-centered, which means I meet the client where they are at. I do not have an agenda prior to each session; the client and I will set the sessions agenda at each session, which will also include reviewing any in between work. I believe in a very collaborative therapeutic relationship. I try to provide the client with plenty of options so that they can identify the interventions which suit their needs, and help them achieve their therapeutic goals.

What you can expect from me

Hopefully, the client will feel better following each session, even when feeling strong emotions during sessions, as that is how healing and growth evolve. I provide a lot of education and hopefully the client will take new knowledge with them following each session. They can also expect to have in between work assigned. This can include, but is not limited to: worksheets, videos, apps, and skills to practice (i.e. journaling, mindfulness, regulation skills). My goal is always to provide the client with the tools they need to meet their goals!
