Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. My approach to therapy is compassionate, honest, and practical. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe being your authentic self without judgment or having to pretend that everything is okay.I work with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional stress. I’m especially passionate about helping clients understand their patterns, strengthen their relationships, develop healthier coping skills, and reconnect with the person they want to be.You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My role is to meet you where you are, listen to what you need, and work alongside you toward meaningful change. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply know that something needs to change, I’m here to help you take that next step.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and understanding. I believe in creating a space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest about what they are experiencing. I listen without judgment and work alongside each client to better understand their concerns, identify patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and work through challenges at a pace that feels right for them.I have a particular focus on supporting individuals and families impacted by child welfare involvement, family conflict, anxiety, and depression. My experience in social services and behavioral health allows me to understand the complexities that can come with family challenges and difficult life circumstances. I meet clients where they are and help them recognize their strengths while working toward greater stability, confidence, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, build rapport, and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, your experiences, and what you hope to gain from counseling. We’ll also talk about how therapy will be structured and begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you. By the end of the session, you should have a clearer understanding of the direction of your therapy, what we’ll work toward together, and the next steps in your journey.
