Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can be intimidating, but I don’t think it should feel like you’re just answering questions and stuck in a place of processing. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself as we work together toward real change.

I specialize in working with couples and families who are dealing with things like school anxiety, communication issues, relationship stress, life changes, and the everyday challenge of balancing different needs and personalities.

I take a collaborative, supportive, and practical approach. I’ll help you figure out what’s behind the challenges you’re facing and focus on tools you can use in your daily life. I think therapy can be both serious and lighthearted, so you might hear a pop culture reference or two from me.

The colorful and familiar details in my office are there on purpose. They’re meant to remind you that therapy doesn’t have to feel cold or clinical. I hope our work together feels welcoming, connected, and down-to-earth as you move toward the life and relationships you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in connection and collaboration. Whether I’m working with couples or families, I make sure everyone feels like an active part of the process. Relationships can be messy and layered, and my role is to help you untangle the tough moments while building stronger, more open communication.

My background in disability services gave me a deep understanding of the challenges families face when trying to support one another. That experience, along with my work with kids and teens, taught me how much family dynamics shape our emotional well-being. I focus on balancing empathy with action, making sure we don’t just talk about what’s hard but work toward real, lasting change.

Therapy with me isn’t about sitting through a lecture or venting without direction. I’ll engage with you, ask questions, and offer tools that fit your life. No matter how heavy things feel, we’ll face it together as a partnership.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect therapy with me to be engaging, collaborative, and genuinely connected to what’s happening in their lives outside of our sessions. Along the way, you might even learn a surprising fact or two, like how the plural of Lego is actually just Lego. I’m still recovering from that one.

Whether you’re coming in for family therapy or couples work, my focus is on making sure everyone in the room feels like an active participant. We’ll start with a thorough intake process where we’ll talk about the challenges you’re facing, whether that’s school anxiety, relationship tension, or feeling stuck in the same frustrating patterns. I’ll walk you through my approach and make sure you feel confident that I’m the right fit for your goals.

I work best with clients who are ready to dig in and commit to growth, both during our sessions and in the moments between them. Therapy isn’t just about insight; it’s about finding practical tools that actually help with what’s happening at home, at school, or in your relationship.

We’ll collaborate on strategies that make sense for your specific situation, and I’ll be there to challenge, support, and adjust along the way. At the end of the day, therapy should feel like something that moves you forward, not just an hour of talking about what’s hard.
