Great to meet you!

I'm a therapist who believes that the work we do together should feel like a genuine connection—not a clinical checklist. My specialty is working with families and couples navigating life’s challenges, whether it’s school anxiety, communication breakdowns, or the messy realities of blending different personalities under one roof. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and sometimes sprinkled with a pop culture reference or two. The colorful touches and familiar nods around my office aren’t just décor—they’re a reminder that I’m a real person, too. Therapy can feel intimidating, but my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to be your authentic self while we tackle what brought you here. We’ll laugh when it fits, get serious when we need to, and always focus on practical steps to help you and your family move forward.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in connection and collaboration. Whether I’m working with couples or families, I make sure everyone feels like an active part of the process. I know relationships are complex, and I’m here to help you untangle the tough moments while building stronger, more open communication.

My background in disability services gave me insight into the unique challenges families face when trying to support one another. That experience, combined with my work with kids and teens, showed me how deeply family dynamics impact our well-being. I focus on balancing empathy with action—making sure we don’t just talk about what’s hard but work toward meaningful, realistic changes.

Therapy with me isn’t about sitting through a lecture or just venting without direction. I’ll engage with you, ask questions, and offer tools that fit your life. And no matter how challenging things feel, we’ll tackle it together, as a team.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect therapy with me to be engaging, collaborative, and genuinely relevant to what’s happening in your life outside of our sessions. And along the way, you might even learn a surprising fact or two—like how the plural of Lego is actually just Lego (I’m still recovering from that discovery).

Whether you’re coming in for family therapy or couples work, my focus is on making sure everyone in the room feels like an active participant. We’ll start with a thorough intake process where we’ll talk about the challenges you’re facing—whether it’s school anxiety, relationship tension, or just feeling like you’re stuck in the same frustrating patterns. I’ll walk you through my approach and make sure you feel confident that I’m a good fit for your goals.

I work best with clients who are ready to dig in and commit to growth—both during our sessions and in the day-to-day moments in between. Therapy isn’t just about insight; it’s about finding practical tools that actually help with what’s going on at home, at school, or in your relationship. We’ll collaborate on strategies that make sense for your specific situation, and I’ll be there to challenge, support, and adjust along the way. Because at the end of the day, therapy should feel like something that moves you forward—not just an hour of talking about what’s hard.
