Great to meet you!

As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), my mission is to provide culturally competent, holistic psychological services which aim to promote individual growth.

My vision, at Melanated Minds, Co., is to create a safe space where Black and Brown individuals feel supported and emboldened to heal out loud. I want each client to reclaim their voice, strengthen who they are, and rebuild.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Norfolk State University in 2015. After which, I attended Liberty University and received my Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling; Marriage and Family Therapy concentration in 2018.

In my journey to further my education, I returned to Norfolk State University where I received my Master of Social Work: Clinical Concentration in.

My approach to therapy

In my practice, I utilize several treatment modalities to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused- CBT, and more.

What you can expect from me

During our initial session, you can expect to do most of the talking. My goal is to begin understanding who you are, while honoring that your story is something to be shared at your own pace. We will collaborate on a treatment plan to ensure our work together is aligned with your identified goals and priorities.

If you’re thinking about starting your therapeutic journey, think about us! We offer evening and weekend time slots for appointments.
