Great to meet you!

I am a dually certified Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of healthcare experience, including 9 years practicing as a Nurse Practitioner. My passion for healthcare began long before becoming a nurse practitioner, as I worked in various healthcare roles throughout my career. These experiences provided me with a strong foundation in patient care and reinforced my commitment to helping individuals improve their health and overall quality of life.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in a wide variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, emergency and crisis stabilization units, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, and private practice clinics. These diverse experiences have allowed me to care for patients across the lifespan and from many different backgrounds, while developing a comprehensive understanding of both physical and mental health needs.

As a dual-certified provider, I take a holistic approach to treatment, recognizing the close connection between mental and physical health. I believe in partnering with my patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs, goals, and circumstances. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, with an emphasis on creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healthcare journey.

My areas of clinical interest and expertise include anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, substance use disorders, mood disorders, women's mental health, and the management of co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions.

My approach to therapy

I believe that effective healthcare begins with listening. Every patient has a unique story, and I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel comfortable discussing their concerns, goals, and challenges. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, focusing on building trusting relationships and empowering patients to take an active role in their care.

I take a holistic approach to treatment, considering not only symptoms and diagnoses but also the individual's medical history, lifestyle, family dynamics, social circumstances, and personal goals.

I am committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care while balancing clinical expertise with genuine empathy. Whether working with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, severe mental illness, substance use disorders, or complex medical and psychiatric conditions, I strive to meet patients where they are and provide practical solutions that promote long-term wellness and improved quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During our first appointment, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation designed to help me gain a thorough understanding of your mental health concerns, medical history, and overall well-being. We will discuss your current symptoms, past psychiatric history, medical history, medications, family history, substance use history, and any significant life experiences that may be impacting your mental health.

I believe that understanding the whole person—not just the symptoms—is essential to providing effective care. This initial evaluation allows us to identify factors that may be contributing to your current concerns and establish a strong foundation for treatment.
