Great to meet you!

My journey started with volunteering in the Guidance Counselor's office at my high school. In this setting, my emotional intelligence and level of empathy began to grow. I decided to study Psychology to understand how the mind works, then studied Social Work to understand how that mind works when affected by events in the environment. I have worked extensively with children/ students, the LGBTQIA+ community, people living with HIV/ AIDS, the elderly, Veterans, Immigrants, couples and families. I accept clients no matter their race, gender, ethnicity or background. I utilize a strength- based approach for my clients as I believe we all have the ability to take control of our own lives.

My approach to therapy

I will come to every session with a plan based on your goals. If you prefer to do talk therapy on any given day, we will make your feelings a priority. I give homework sometimes, based on the skills we are learning. I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), ADHD and Trauma Treatment. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT) to teach skills that can be applied in day to day circumstances.

What you can expect from me

My style is friendly and collaborative. With therapy, you can see an improvement in your life and feel so much better. Are you ready to do the work? My aim is to help you to be comfortable and open from the very first session. I have morning, afternoon, evening and weekend availibilities. I can be reached via my website, phone or email. Let's see how well we fit!
