Great to meet you!

Feeling heard matters—but so does leaving therapy with deeper insight, a clearer path forward, and practical tools to help you get there. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 30 years of experience, I help adults navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, chronic illness, caregiver stress, relationship concerns, workplace challenges, and major life transitions.

My background includes private practice, telehealth, healthcare, crisis intervention, and extensive work with veterans and individuals facing complex circumstances. Clients have described me as caring, resourceful, direct, and a strong listener who provides meaningful insight, practical exercises, and therapy tailored to their individual needs. I understand the challenges of balancing work, family, caregiving, health, and personal well-being.

Evening and weekend appointments are available. I accept most major insurance plans and offer affordable self-pay options, making therapy easier to fit into your life and budget.

My approach to therapy

Therapy works best when it is shaped around you. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to listen, help you recognize patterns, and offer honest feedback and practical strategies. I use an integrative approach because therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Together, we will create goals and select approaches that fit your needs, strengths, personality, and pace.

My style is warm, collaborative, and direct when needed. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. If these terms are unfamiliar, that is completely okay—we will discuss what they mean and how they can support your goals.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a comfortable, judgment-free space. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult, and what you hope will improve. You can share at your own pace, and you are always welcome to ask questions about the therapy process or my approach.

We will also review relevant background information, identify your strengths and support system, and begin developing goals that feel meaningful and realistic to you. I may introduce a brief screening tool to help us better understand your symptoms and establish a starting point for you to see your progress. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and clearer about what our work together may look like.
