Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor with more than 13 years of experience helping adults work through trauma, anxiety, grief, shame, negative self-talk, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern Mississippi and am trained in EMDR and certified in the Grief Recovery Method.

I believe many of the struggles we see on the surface are connected to painful experiences, beliefs, and emotions operating behind the scenes. My goal is to help you understand those connections, heal what is still hurting, and build a life that feels more like your own.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and direct—with humor when it helps. I believe you are the expert on your own life, so therapy is something we do together rather than something I do to you.

We may use EMDR, cognitive and behavioral strategies, mindfulness, grief work, and honest conversation to identify patterns, process difficult experiences, strengthen boundaries, and challenge the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck. I will support you, but I will also gently challenge you when that is what growth requires. Therapy is always paced around your needs, goals, and readiness.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know one another and understanding what has brought you to therapy. You will not be expected to tell your entire story, disclose every painful experience, or know exactly what your goals are. We will begin wherever you are.

I’ll ask questions about what you have been experiencing, what you would like to change, and what has or has not helped in the past. I’ll also explain how I work and answer your questions so we can decide together what moving forward might look like. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and clearer about the next step.
