Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Nikki Smith and I am a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 14 years of experience in primary care and advanced training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Before transitioning fully into civilian medicine, I spent 20 years serving as a Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) in the United States Army. My military career taught me the meaning of resilience, dedication, and leadership under pressure and solidified my desire to focus on mental health with the same disciplined commitment and sense of duty to every single patient I treat.

My approach to therapy

Grounded in the belief that growth is possible at every stage of life, my approach empowers patients to build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and achieve lasting well-being. I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their mental health journey. My commitment is to deliver care that is rooted in compassion, guided by clinical excellence, and focused on helping every patient thrive.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a dedicated space for us to connect and build a foundation for your care. We will start by listening to your story, your current challenges, and your health goals. Together, we will review your physical and mental health background information to understand the full picture of your well-being. Finally, we will collaborate on a personalized treatment plan that respects your choices and aligns with your unique lifestyle, ensuring you leave our session with a clear, supportive roadmap forward.
