Great to meet you!

I’m a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), working with individuals ages 13 and older. I specialize in treating complex mental health conditions, including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, psychotic disorders, and neuro-developmental conditions. I also have focused experience in geriatric psychiatry through my work in skilled nursing facilities.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I spent a decade working as an engineer. My transition into healthcare was shaped by personal experiences with mental health in my family, which led me to pursue psychiatry.

I provide medication management alongside supportive therapy-informed care. My approach is comprehensive and collaborative, with an emphasis on understanding your full story so that treatment feels thoughtful, individualized, and aligned with your needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in both medication management and therapeutic support. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Supportive Therapy to help individuals manage anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and other mental health challenges.

Through CBT, we identify thought patterns and behaviors contributing to distress, while ACT helps build psychological flexibility and reduce the impact of difficult emotions. Supportive Therapy provides a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll explore the patterns keeping you stuck, clarify your goals and values, and develop practical strategies for long-term emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

I approach the initial session as both a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and an opportunity to establish a therapeutic relationship. We will review your current concerns, mental health history, prior treatments, and any interventions that have or have not been effective. I also take time to understand the broader context of your life, including personal relationships, occupational stressors, and treatment goals.

If medication management is being considered, we will discuss options in a collaborative and informed manner without pressure. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to have a clear understanding of the treatment process, feel heard and supported, and feel comfortable moving forward with care.
